EXHIBITIONS

Céline Mathieu, MERIAN PD candidate, has a solo exhibition running at Kunsthal Trondheim in Norwway. The exhibition stems from the ongoing research project ‘Conditions for Raw Materials’ (2020-) which focuses on the circulation of thoughts an materials in exhibitions. Céline is also currently preparing for a solo exhibition in April 2026 at the Kunstverein für Mecklenburg und Vorpommern in Schwerin curated by Henrike Nagel. For more information, please visit the museum’s website.

In addition, Céline is preparing new work for group exhibitions in the Kölnischer Kunstverein curated by Flückiger & Valerie Knol this coming May and Kanal Centre Pompidou Brussels curated by Clémentine Deliss in November.


ARTIST TALKS
On Sunday 25th of January at 3pm, Michel Tombroff and Céline Mathieu will present their work at the WIELS auditorium, where he will present his book ‘Le Malentendu Capital’, and she will do a reading and walk people through her most recent solo exhibitions at Kunsthall Trondheim (NO) and Kunstverein Harburgerbahnhof (DE).

Céline will have an artist talk at Cloud7 with Matthieu Laurette, Thursday, 29 January 26 from 18:30 to 20:00, discussing systems of value that shape the contemporary art world, questioning the role of the collector, the dynamics of authorship and copyright, and the ways in which artistic value is produced and perceived. The talk is moderated by (Céline’s supervisor) Dr. Christoph Rausch, professor of economics at Maastricht University, whose research examines the relationship between art, economic value, and financial value.

Last Saturday 10 January 2026, she spoke about her research and most recent work at IRCAM/Centre Pompidou at the philosophical conference of Mamuphi.
